Hawas Sapphire
Electric at first. Warmer than the bottle suggests.
Blackcurrant
Guava
Sandalwood
Tonka Bean
Ambergris
Bergamot and blackcurrant open sharp — familiar to anyone in the Hawas orbit. But guava is the note that earns attention. It pulls the opening toward tropical without committing to beachy: more ripe fruit than salt air, more warmth than resort. The top notes move fast and clear the stage quickly.
Orange blossom steadies the heart. Floral without calling attention to itself — creamy softness rather than bloom. Sandalwood works underneath it, quiet and warm. The middle of Sapphire is its most confident register: less about announcing, more about carrying.
The base lands clean. Tonka bean adds a sweet undercurrent — a little almond, easy to wear. Ambergris brings faint marine warmth without pushing the fragrance into aquatic territory. Musk holds everything skin-close. By the dry-down, Sapphire is intimate and effortless.
Rasasi built this around "the ocean caught in a flash of lightning" — their words, and the brief makes more sense once you're wearing it. The electricity is in the opening; the ocean shows up later, subtly, in the base. Labeled masculine, but the guava and orange blossom give it more range than that. One of the more versatile releases in the Hawas lineup.
