Coffee Is Having a Moment in Fragrance Right Now
Three houses put out coffee-adjacent releases inside the same two weeks. "Coffee fragrance" turns out to cover more ground than the name suggests, from an actual espresso shot to one release that skips the coffee bean entirely.
The most literal coffee scent of the three. Coffee and rum up top, chocolate and hazelnut in the middle, vanilla to close. Part of Kilian's new Cocktail Collection, full rundown linked below.
Rum
Toasted Hazelnut
Benzoin Siam
Coffee shows up in the middle here, not the opening. Bitter orange and pink pepper start things off; coffee arrives layered into orange blossom and cedarwood rather than standing alone, then vanilla, tonka, and vetiver take over at the base.
Bergamot
Pink Pepper
Mandarin
Orange Blossom
Georgywood
Cedarwood
Mahonial
Tonka Bean
Haitian Vetiver
Akigalawood
Cypriol
The twist of the group. No actual coffee note. It builds the "latte" from almond milk, caramel, tonka, and vanilla instead, the milk-and-sugar half of the drink without the espresso shot.
Tonka Bean
Vanilla
Ambrofix
Sandalwood
White Musk
Amberwood
Benzoin
Georgywood
Guaiac Wood
