Vantage
Vantage smells like a decision already made. Cardamom and pink pepper open sharp. Frankincense and myrrh settle in warm and resinous. The whole thing reads as certainty in a bottle. Rayhaan built it to sit next to Amouage Decision. It gets close enough that the comparison holds up on paper.

The opening is bright and a little sharp: cardamom and pink pepper doing the work up front, bergamot keeping it from turning heavy too fast. The heart is where Vantage earns its resemblance to Decision. Frankincense and myrrh bring the same resinous, temple-incense character that makes the original recognizable from across a room. Juniper berries add a green snap that keeps the incense from tipping into candle territory. Cedarwood and patchouli close it out, dry and grounded. Most retailers list vanilla in Decision's base and leave it out of Vantage's. That's the one point where the two pyramids actually diverge.
Decision runs $395 for 100ml. Vantage lists at £29.99 in the UK and €36.99 in the EU for the same size. Line up the note pyramids and eight of Decision's nine notes show up in Vantage too: cardamom, bergamot, pink pepper, frankincense, myrrh, juniper, cedarwood, and patchouli all present in both. Vanilla is the one note that doesn't carry over. For a dupe, that's a tighter match than most manage. What's still open: EmiratesOud lists 10 to 12 hours of longevity, a retailer claim rather than a tested one, and at least one early reviewer is asking outright whether Vantage is a clone or a "chemical mess," without landing on an answer. None of that is a wear test, and Vantage hasn't had one here yet.
This is a fragrance for anyone who wants Decision's temple-incense mood without the temple-incense price. An office scent with some spice to it, or a cold-weather everyday wear once the resin settles in. Worth trying before committing to a bigger bottle.
