Wild blackberry opens Purple Trouble sweet and dark, the kind of fruit note that could easily tip into candy. It doesn't get the chance.

Red chili pepper moves in almost immediately, and it's the note doing the most interesting work here. Fruit and heat aren't a common pairing, and the effect is genuinely a little unexpected: sweetness with a bite behind it, rather than sweetness alone.

Musk and ambroxan close it out and keep the heat close to the skin instead of letting it read as aggressive. The dry-down is quieter than the opening promises, warm rather than sharp.
